Bangkok’s Central Business Districts, always an attraction

Visitors to the Thai capital seeking comfortable Bangkok serviced apartments need look no further than the appealing Anantara Baan Rajprasong, Bangkok. These attractive accommodations offer well-furnished interiors and a selection of the contemporary amenities that are expected by the modern traveller.

Bangkok is a vast city which may be divided into a number of different zones and districts. Of these sectors the bustling area surrounding Siam Square may be considered to be the city’s central business district where much of the large scale commercial activity takes place. Including Ratchaprasong and the nearby Phloen Chit Road this vibrant sector features many high-rise buildings, hotels and lavish shopping malls. This is the area where international corporations and multinational companies are based, and much of the trading activities take place.

Another financial focal point is the Silom area, which has a dual character. In the daytime this district is a sedate financial hub, where international transactions are conducted and a great deal of commercial activity takes place. However at night everything changes and the locality becomes a lively nightlife centre, with dozens of nightclubs and bars opening for the party goers.

The area of Sukhumvit may also be considered to be part of the city’s central business district, where many affluent expatriates and local residents are based. Filled with attractive restaurants, cafes and nightclubs this lively locality is also considered to be one of the city’s nightlife highlights.

Visitors to the city should make it a point to explore the attractive Rattanakosin area where you will find some of the city’s most renowned sightseeing mainstays, such as Wat Pho and the Grand Palace.

On the other hand travellers on a budget will feel at home at Khao San Road and the adjacent Banglamphu. These districts feature everything a budget traveller could desire, thereby attracting a steady stream of backpackers and other less affluent visitors. No visit to Bangkok would be complete without exploring the city’s famed Chinatown and Phahurat Road which is home to the city’s considerably numerous Indian community. With so much to see and do, a visit to Bangkok will always be a satisfying and memorable experience.
