Getting There

Located near Chatuchak Park, this site can be easily accessed via the Mo Chit Skytrain (BTS) Station and the Chatuchak Park MRT Station. Within a 20-minute drive from Citadines Sukhumvit 23 Bangkok, the main market is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

What’s On Offer

With more than 15,000 stalls spread across 26 sections, you have much to explore. Be you staying at a Bangkok apartment hotel or hostel, look to get here early to avoid the crowds. So what’s on offer? Clothing, fashion accessories, ceramics, furniture, plants, art, collectables, books, handicrafts and yummy street food too!

Clever Bargaining

If you are good at bargaining then you have a chance of getting better deals at the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Do remember to be polite and don’t be afraid to walk away if you feel the price is too high; chances are, you will find that item elsewhere at the market or may be offered the discount as you turn to leave!

To Keep in Mind

With large crowds and the hot weather to contend with, it’s best to wear light cotton clothing and comfy shoes / sneakers. Since it’s an outdoor market remember to put on sunscreen, a hat and sunnies too. Also, bring a bottle of water and cash (be mindful of pickpockets) and make use of the free maps at information kiosks.
