The M.R. Kukrit Heritage Home

Five teakwood houses on stilts in traditional Thai style are interconnected by a wooden corridor set in a pond garden of typical Thai design. The earliest house is over a century old. They house M.R Kukrit’s invaluable personal collection of traditional Asian and Thai cultural artefacts.

A pavilion with a center stage was used for traditional Thai Khon Dance displays and has exhibits of Khon Dance masks. The library holds books ranging from fiction to philosophy. The bedroom has a bed supposed to belong to King Rama II–M.R.Kukrit’s great grandfather.
