There’s a lot to discover, experience and appreciate in Bangkok. While this might be a little overwhelming, it is not at all. Want to know some of the highlights in Bangkok?

1) Start by temple hopping
Rattanakosin, Bangkok’s old city and its historic centre is the ideal place to start your exploration. You’ll find many temples such as the Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) and Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). These are excellent choices to absorb the culture and heritage of the city.

2) Check out the markets
Many of the Bangkok city hotels are relatively close by to the markets, especially AVANI Atrium Bangkok, making them a must check out feature of the city. You can a plethora of food markets, floating markets, weekend markets and even night markets.

3) Live Kickboxing
A definite highlight and adrenaline packed thing to do in Bangkok would be to watch a live Kickboxing match. You can witness them at Lumpinee or Rajadamnern Stadiums, which feature a very intense atmosphere during the matches.

4) Tuk-Tuk night tour
Tuk-tuk night tours are an immensely popular activity among all visitors. They are the best way to explore the city, especially with it being an open vehicle in which you can take in all of the city’s lights, sights and smells.
