Background

The park stretches over almost 11.6 acres of land and was built to commemorate the sixtieth birthday anniversary of Queen Sirikit in 1992. Known also as the Queen’s Park, it features an ornamental lake surrounded by contemporary sculptures by local artists.

Location

The park is located in downtown Bangkok, on Sukhumvit Road between Soi 22 and 24. It can be easily accessed by nearby hotels and serviced apartments in Bangkok including the likes of Chatrium Residence Riverside Bangkok.

Things to Do

There is no end to the activities one can do while here. From winding tracks for jogging, a swimming pool and basketball courts to a skating rink, this park is quite a popular hangout with youngsters. Water fountain shows can also be watched at various time slots throughout the day. It also happens to be a great place for a picnic with family and friends.

Best Time to Visit

While the park remains a popular place to visit throughout the day, the best times would be early morning or towards the evening as it can get quite hot during the afternoons.
